Project definition
An international consortium consisting of among others Shell, Marathon Oil and LukOil was migrating from the drilling & exploration phase to a commercial production based organization in relation to the placing of a new production platform off the coast of Sakhalin.
Project description
Based on interviews, research, organizational design and consultant experience a full new set of business processes for production planning and control, communication with local and national authorities and management information and decision support were developed and implemented. A cross functional and team based organizational model were developed and implemented across the businesses involved in the consortium.
Results
A decision-making and efficient organization with transparent and robust processes, systems and procedures was installed, tested and put in place prior to the platform arriving at the site.
